Myat: Mon Mon Myat is an independent writer/journalist/producer from Burma/Myanmar. She is a PhD Candidate in the Peacebuilding Program at Payap University in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She has written various articles for news agencies including Inter Press Service (IPS) Asia Pacific, AFP (Agence France-Presse, Yangon), IRIN News (humanitarian news and analysis, a project of the UN Office), NyTid, a Norwegian News Magazine, the Irrawaddy Magazine and Spectrum, Bangkok Post Newspaper as a freelance contributor. Mon Mon Myat produced Heartless Forest, an anthology of Burmese women writers in 2013 and a documentary film, A Long Way Panlong, about Aung San Suu Kyi’s political campaign 2015 in Myanmar.
